You’ll also hear about plans for community science projects across Connecticut to monitor window strikes, including with dbird and iNaturalist. We will discuss and plan a statewide outreach strategy to turn off excess lights across our state during peak bird migration and organize at the state, local, and individual level to make Connecticut’s night skies safe for bird migration. At our Action Meeting, we will launch our EDUCATION & ACTION campaign to save migrating birds in Connecticut. Light pollution can draw migrating birds into cities and suburban areas, causing them to collide with buildings.
